year by year I've been adding some fruit trees. I think next year I am going to go all out. I will probably order from here since I live in the frigid part of NY http://www.sln.potsdam.ny.us/ Though I'm REALLY thinking about getting a couple fig trees and planting them in a sheltered area.

I just peeled and cubed them in a bean and grean soup. The kids ask what they were....I replied potatoes and they cleaned their bowls ;)

Me neither, It came as a bonus seed from Wife (I think). I forgot about it until I cleaned out my seed box.

I grew pink ponderosa from bakers creek...very nice big tomatoes. And this is coming from someone who despises the smell and taste of raw tomatoes. Made awesome sauce with them. I just pick 10 more today and there are a bunch of green ones still.

Do I need to wait for the pod to dry before I shell them?

I just got back from vacation and I'm inundated with overgrown green beans. The beans themselves are about as big as a dime. What can I do with them???

An Elderberry has leaves opposite of each other and I don't believe the berries begin as white "pearls" and turn to blue, they go from green to purple. :)

I put them in my basement. They last for quite a while...about mid winter depending on the variety. I've had some that lasted all winter.
