    Coffee

I am also a bit fuzzy around the edges at this time of the day. Fortunately, I'm indoors and without the need for a scarf or informal seating during an early morning breeze while I have my first breakfast!

    Your Weather, 2025

Frost - on cars Frost - on roofs Frost - on lawns I waited until 6 to turn on sprinklers since our coldest temperatures have been about 7AM lately. Running them for 90 minutes. Maybe successful in avoiding the damage. It is supposed to be a sunny day and tomorrow's high 70⁰f (21⁰C). We will...

    Ducks ALIVE in 2025!

We have mostly gone to paste and freezing in recent years. Mortar and pestle used for both dry and fresh. https://www.theeasygarden.com/threads/thai-peppers.14262/post-159288 Updated link for the spice outfit noted in the 12 year old post ;). LINK

    Ducks ALIVE in 2025!

I think that your drying should work fine, Ducks'. In 2009, i explain my approach here along with more discussion by others on Serrano. https://www.theeasygarden.com/threads/serrano-peppers-lots-of-them.4963/

Oldest daughter bought first plant! 😍

In typical @digitS' fashion, the "name" is bothersome :D. I checked & learned that the Texas town for which it is named is, itself, named for a comedian who used it as a nom de plume. Silliness! University of Illinois says it is hardy to zone 6; Cornell University has it as zone 7. I might be...

Oldest daughter bought first plant! 😍

Dahlia, That is, probably, a Very Good Choice. We have had rosemary plants for years and they require very little even here where they cannot survive outdoors during the Winter. Fresh rosemary has no substitute. Steve

    stubbed toes and mud pies

We have the same possibility for tonight. Low of 35°f. I will set up the sprinklers to try to mitigate the possibility of some of garden plants freezing that would remain productive if the 7 day + forecast is accurate 🤞. Steve

    A Seed Saver's Garden

DW saved lettuce seed this year. It was a first time experience. She had flat baskets set on the greenhouse bench near the open door. I noticed that she was quite involved with rubbing seed on, at least 3 different days. "Rubbing." Combine harvesters have taken so many people out of the...

    Coffee

I'm probably enjoying too much sweetness in my fruit and cereal bowls this morning with the honeydew melon and Reese's Puffs along with Honeynut Cheerios and a sliced banana. Orion dominant in the southern sky after the very bright, nearly-full moon disappeared behind the neighbor's house to...
