    Potato storage, help!

    Around here putting them in pinestraw works. Like a clamp but easier. sweet potato also. You might use hvac filter type material, but the pinestraw is probably more preservative when it is fresh fall dry.

    Personally I think its choking at the root. Try a cactus mix sometime. Give it way more drainage and breathing room than normal but do it in something that can allow that deep root to grow into a coolness. Our clay does that to them.

    Basil and thyme went into some dipping oil tonight. A friend works with wood as a hobby and gave me a "pizza cutter" but its basically a rocking knife so I set it up as a chopper by the butchers block. He made it out of walnut. I got a chance to use it on the herbs.
