    Finnie’s little corner of Indiana

Well @digitS' I learned something today. First, yes, Morgan County is where I thought it was. Second, Trafalgar is just east of there in Johnson County. Which I was looking up because there is a town there called Greenwood and I wondered if it had anything to do with your ancestors. Alas...

@Blueberry Acres This one reminds me of a knockout rose I have called Campfire. (Campfire is my favorite one.)

    Finnie’s little corner of Indiana

Just adding some photos from the third post of my journal because I didn’t realize these weren’t in the previous post.) Here are some photos of how the trees and buildings have grown up in the back chicken area. I tried to find photos that show my “run in shed”. And here is my mailbox...

    Goin' to the Dogs!

Steve, I have heard of Morgan county, and I think I know where it is, but I am not familiar with Trafalgar. We are actually Michigan transplants. Been here 20 years and I have gotten to really like Indiana. (At first I hated moving “south of the border”, but now I don’t think I could stand a...

    Finnie’s little corner of Indiana

This is for @digitS' My 100th post! 😊 I’m copying and pasting this from my journal on BYH because it already existed there. It’s quite long (I actually copied and pasted the first two posts here.) Feel free to just skim through this. Beginning of first post: I posted this over in the...

@ducks4you ? I was wondering the same thing. @farmerjan had both of hers done at the same time and that seemed like the way to go.

    Goin' to the Dogs!

Well if we are posting Sheltie and Collie pictures… The last photo of my old girl Birdie. (And Toby the dachshund when he was just 7 months old.) The collie is Clara. (And the dachshunds had to ride in the stroller because they can’t walk as far or as fast as the collie and I can.) These two...

Ground squirrels are digging around all my fav trees and shrubs and the foundation of the house.

I think the squirrellinator is your best bet. We have a chipmunkinator, and it really works. My husband puts peanuts inside it. Then you need a container of water deep enough to submerge the whole (occupied) trap in, as @baymule said. Not a time to be squeamish. We also discovered that a flat...

    Baymule’s Farm

Great job on your door! Now you can thank yourself several times a day, instead of being frustrated. 😊 With your sophisticated locking mechanism, I’m thinking you should run a safety string up through a little hole in the door so just in case something knocks that board down while you are...

I don’t remember planting two different echinacea in this area, so I think this one is the orange one reverting to wild type.

    Impressive garlic volunteer

It may not be relevant, but I thought I would show you what comes up (3 years so far) from some grocery store garlic that sprouted in my kitchen so I planted it. But I have never dug up the bulbs, so I don’t know what they are looking like nowadays.

You might want to take your actual address off of your profile. State or usda hardiness zone is close enough for most purposes here. And, :welcome
