It's green not black but I couldn't see it when I picked it. If it's not ripe then the chickens can have it because I still have so many more in the garden.
I knew most of the answers but a couple of things got me. I know that talking to your plants is good for them because of the fact that they breathe in carbon monoxide and in exchange give oxygen.
I picked a little pumpkin today. When I say little it's been growing for about 2 months and probably doesn't even weigh 2 lbs. Might not even be a pound. It took it's time to ripen. I'm going to post a picture of it in a little bit.
My daughter in law might have a broken neck. She fell yesterday just before we got to her house and I figured she was going to have a serious black eye and the entire right side of her face would just be one really big bruise.
I decided to make some cakes last night. I made chocolate and lemon cake. The house smelled so good. I'm going to make a homemade icing for the lemon and frosting for the chocolate cake. I'm still trying to decide what flavor for the chocolate cake though.
I make a homemade tartar sauce but I use a tiny bit of ketchup and dill pickle relish. Adding a touch of mustard is next time. Yes I use Best food's mayo
Cheeks is back inside because the other girls just plucked her back so she's inside until she is completely healed. I found a cute little post on Pinterest and I wanted to share it. Don't tell secrets in the garden. The potatoes have eyes, the corn has ears and the beanstalk.
I'm going to try to get Cheeks outside for a while because she's getting cabin fever being inside. She's not fully healed from Whiner attacking her but she deserves some outdoors time even though I will keep her in the crate. Hopefully she will be able to get back outside before the rain starts.
Haven't been here for a while because I have been trying to get the run covered before the rain starts. Not sure when it will start but better safe than sorry.
