I was told today, if I wanted to keep squash bugs off my plants I should put some watermelon rine at the base of my plants after I Squish the eggs on the leaves. Has anyone tried this? Does it work? And if so how? Thanks Don still hangin in there after 115 degrees highest temp in this area...

Ours are about 10 inches tall and growing like crazy, it seems like we only planted a couple of weeks ago.. When we Put it in the ground we had like 122 days to the first frost and the package said 90 to 110 so we went for it. Don it's 107 right now this is the 20th day in a row over 100

I think my squash plants were speaking squastnees as none of the other bugs came to help, I know that I planted some carrots that I got from a guy in Greece, so maybe my squash came from another country also... ;) Don still :watering and hoping for some relief soon

Your welcome, anything to help save some money If you go online and sign up for their email papers they always have lots of coupons, and you can view the current ads, I too have to cross the line, so I only go when they have something that I really can use. Don :watering

Yes those are the ones, I like the brighter colors so that I can find them, I get mine from harbor freight on sale about a dollar per pair.. They do wash up pretty well..I have issues with my hands and they really help with grip Don. :watering
