A few days ago, when they were just beginning to leaf out, I trimmed the climbing rose branches that were attempting to root themselves in the ground, and also did battle with the blackberry brambles up on the hill. Thankfully the blackberries were still somewhat cowed from last year's pruning...

That looks like a good idea. Does the end which attaches to the faucet swivel easily? If so that could solve my problems with garden hoses that the ends do not swivel easily, and makes attaching them to the faucet difficult.

Indeed Spring has sprung! The glacier covering my back yard is now nearly all melted, I've been able to walk my stir-crazy dog around the pasture and to the mailbox, and daffodils and daylilies are staring to poke their heads out of the ground.

I saw it from my bedroom window. This was also the "worm moon" so named because this is the time of year when earthworms emerge from the ground, attracting flocks of robins. (One news person once remarked,"They could have named it the robin moon, but no, they settled on worm moon!")

I probably could, but I'd have to connect my TV to the internet, and I've resisted doing that for security reasons. I'm pretty confident they will re-run the series, and If not, it should become available on DVD.
