    I ran across a great deal on tomatoes at Lowe's just now...

    Fifty cents each for 4" pots. The problem? The labels said "tomato". And that's all. lol I passed for fear that they'd do phenomenally well and I'd want to plant that variety again. The picture was of a red tomato. That narrows it down, huh? :lol:

    How to plant garlic

    I came >this close< to buying some clearance garlic at Walmart yesterday. But the bulbs they had were all dried up so I figured they wouldn't grow well. And yes, the directions on these said to plant each clove separately.

    Reminds me of a crepe myrtle, with the blooms on the end of the branch like that. but the flowers anywhere even close to right. It's pretty - whatever it is. :)

    problem with tomato seedlings, possible disease/fungus, need advice

    I second wifezilla. The purple hue underneath the leaves remind me of a nutrient deficiency that my broccoli had (I think it was magnesium). One foliar feeding with fish emulsion and the next leaves were bright and green again.

    I sure hope the black soldier flies find their way into my compost pile again this year. I have never seen anything make such quick work of food scraps. And from what I've read, black soldier flies do not tolerate your standard houseflies being in the same area. If memory serves me correctly...
