Last sheep on the sell list was Little Ringo. I took him to Emory auction on Friday, unloaded and came home. Auction was yesterday, Saturday, they will send me the check. I still have a few over 40 sheep, counting this year's ewe lambs that I kept. I stopped in Crockett before coming home and...

2026, My year of Garden Narcissism

Tegan and Lynx are almost the same color. I hit a squirrel in my Hyundai Accent. Little car, low to the ground, it did $600 worth of damage to my car. It tore up some kind of plastic shield under the car and cracked the bumper. I took it to a body shop and paid for it. Deductible was $500 so I...

I got 3 1/4" of rain yesterday. I heard it raining some more last night. I rode the Kawasaki mule to the paved road to see if I could get out. The road was flooded right in front of my place, deep enough that I would not drive my car through it, so I stayed home from church.

That was lovely. His grandfather and father's garden. His pear trees and he got a taste of them by his step grandmother's recipe. It put a smile on my face. My earliest memories are of me barefoot, barely toddling, following my Daddy in his garden.

I'm tired y'all. Deep bone tired and exhausted. I've been reducing the flock numbers. On Saturday February 28th, I took 8 grown older ewes to auction in Emory, 3 hours away. @Ridgetop and I had discussed me selling the Dorpers, the Texas Five now the Texas Four with the loss of Granny. I have...

    Baymule’s Farm

I have to share a funny with y'all. Yesterday evening I went in to take a shower to get ready for church. My son Layne was working on his 1989 truck, sheep were all fed and put up for the night. Layne heard Buford going BOOF BOOF BOOF. Not a loud bark, just boofing, that is what gave Buford his...
