mener6896 your beds look great!!! How tall are they? Im not going to do all raised beds but there are some things that I want to try to see if I have better luck! I didnt have any luck with tomatoes.....I was really disappointed! I usually can but what I had wouldnt have canned very well...

ok, so my thoughts for next year is to try to do some gardening with raised beds...Our soil didnt work with my root veggies and a neighbor said his father uses raised beds for all his root veggies....Is this a good idea? if so how deep do the beds need to be? do i need to put wood or plastic...

They do help out alot...my husband works thirds so it is a bit difficult sometimes. kids are only 6, 5 & 2 they helped me last night while there dad was at work. My mom said she might come this weekend and help.

thanks for the suggestions! I was out for about 10 minutes last night and weeded my onions mayber I can get out there later tonight and weed some more! I will try putting some news paper over what I have already done and see how that works!

My husbands grandma has macular degeneration (sp?) in both eyes and the eye doctor told her to eat LOTS of Kale it is good for your vision!!!!

What will happen if I plant them next to each other? My mother-in-law says its a big no no but I have read that only if you keep the seeds and replant you will have problems but if you dont its ok...is that true? Thank you!!! ;)
