I have also heard that Mint repels bugs, but have never used it for that purpose. But It's worth a try. Mint does make a good ground cover, you just have to make sure it's not near any of your garden beds.

I just bought a peach tree. It looks like the dwarf variety was grafted to standard root stock. There is a new branch coming from the trunk. It's leaves have no resemblance to the grafted tree.

I always let the chickens in when the annuals are browning out. They have and awsome time taking down all the plants and digging through the old mulch. Eventually, I end up with a ready garden and happy chickens.

I have some. It's one of those plants that you don't do anything to... you just plant it and let it do what it does. The soil I live on is actually dune sand, 99.9% sterile. :rolleyes: It still thrives quite surprisingly. They get most of their energy from photosynthesis and through their leaves...

I got the shipping date wrong. They said they'll ship whenever it is time to grow them in my zone. :rolleyes: I just checked the estimated delivery date...The papayas should arrive May 20th.

How old is that tree? What zone do they grow in?

I'm more succesful at rooting cuttings when I put it in water and drop some root hormone in it. :rolleyes:

I think pecan trees are beautiful. I don't think they should be too old. I thought they began producing at 7 years.
