Thanks! The volunteers do make life interesting, I have those pumpkins, some gourds, and one tomato plant as volunteers this year.

Thanks, I hope it's not that but we will see how the tomatoes do. So far only two plants have been spotted with it, my only Pink Firefly and one that is either a Mortgage lifter, chocolate strip or the last type I grew from seed whose name is currently gone from my head. I'll let you guys now...

Some of my tomato plants right above ground level have about an inch of brown, sick looking stalk. And all of them with it look sickly, like they need water. I'll get some pictures later, but it's raining right now.

I really should start a new thread, but here is today's update on the peas: I thought I was done harvesting this week. But I harvested a little under a pound of peas tonight, a mix of Blue podded (which I really need to look up their real name) and Snow peas. These will be going to a funeral...

As far as taste they are okay, but I really prefer the snow peas. With the snow peas I can grab one and eat it in the garden (yum), but at least with the smaller Blue podded they are too bitter for my taste and I really don't like to shell peas, you get so little out of it. So I unless they some...

Here are the blue podded peas (they look purple to me :idunno ) we tried them as raw snow peas, but they are too bitter. But we will try them as shelling and as cooked snow peas.

Today's harvest:

I'm home from vacation and while I was gone the peas got so heavy they pulled down their fence. But both types are covered in peas, so I need to harvest tomorrow.

I'm on vacation so no pictures, but I got my first peas of the year from both types last Saturday.

Thanks! Yum, I can't wait to eat the first peas :drool Aren't they are a pretty addiction to the garden? I do too, the interesting part is the blue podded peas as the are "dieing" (getting ready to be peas!) they are turning to a pretty blueish/purple color. I'll try to take pictures tomorrow.
