    Thanks everyone---It's not nearly wild--it's way too big to be a floribunda. It's like 15 feet tall. The heirlooms are closer but I still don't think there's a match.

    The leafy top part of the potato will grow above the start and the potatoes will grow below the start, off of the roots. We usually let ours dry out for a week before setting them out, but I wouldn't suggest putting them into the sun to dry---it's usually better to put them in a shady cool...
