I just finished eating a store-bought baked potato because when I went to get ours, they were in too bad of shape to eat :(
They made it a few months in a sack in our cellar but there must be a sure-fire way to keep potatoes longer. I fed alot to the chickens today. Id rather feed me ;)

A week or so ago I transplanted 80, 1 year old strawberry plants from my parents bed.
My dad said I need to clip the blossoms for the first year. I understand that. But these are already a year old, just transplanted.

Last spring we planted 2 Youndstown Juniper evergreens and 1 Emerald Beauty Arborvitae. All 3 are turning brown. Seemed to get worse over the winter, but really never took off the way I would have imagined over the course of last year.

I have read quite a bit information on vermi composting. I would like to add worm boxes below my rabbit cages.
One thing I can't find an answer to is what happens in winter? Here in MN we get frost 4 to 5 feet below ground, what happens to worms? Has anyone done something to heat their boxes...
