Anyone have experience with monkeytail cowpeas?

Woah, Deer are TOUGH! You learn something new everyday :) and a bit of a scary thought though, but since most of the families around here have always managed to eat wild deer meat fine I'm thinking deer probably just have awesome digestive systems that are skilled at eliminating the toxins in...

    How to pamper berry bushes?

It probably still looks like poop :/ , I haven't been out to look at it but a few of my neighbors have horses and I know they wouldn't mind if I went out there and shoveled some. In one field any manure there would be a couple months old, the other field would have stuff that was still pretty...

Fruits and veggies for a shade garden

Haha, I actually did manage to work my way into the sunny part of the garden. I went plant shopping with her and convinced her with my awesome convincing skills that berries where just what we needed in the garden. She then granted me what ever space she isn't using to grow them. Full sun here I...

Photo Posting Guide - Avatars, too!

Actually most sites will have a certain limit of posts you have to make before posting pictures. It's a useful tool for blocking robots and trolls who want to post offensive matterial for kicks and giggles. I'm fine with it, plus I'm just one more post closer to posting pics. :D

    Strange tree Id.

Or maybe it's a shrub, it was pretty small and skinny and growing next to an Elm. I HAVE NO CLUE what it is and I know my trees. Never seen it before and I'm kinda clueless. If you run out of tree/shrub ideas mention anything else you think it looks like, maybe I'm crazy and it was actually a...

Fruits and veggies for a shade garden

Thank you for all the advice DigitS' . We are very far from a "cool maritime" region. It gets pretty hot out here and the temp doesn't start getting lower until around October, sometimes even later so I may have a chance with gardening there after all :D I know at the very least Basil does...

Fruits and veggies for a shade garden

Thank you, Hmmmmm I have a few ideas of some things I can try. I've already marked down the one area that gets the most sun so I will try the tomatoes there. Maybe some spinach in the more shadier parts. I was wondering, do herbs do good in shade? I've always loved mint, basil, and rosemary...or...

Fruits and veggies for a shade garden

Let me see, I haven't actually sat around and counted the hours of light but I'd say that the whole area only has direct light at about the middle of the day. 12 to 2, give or take. Before of after that the light is at an angle and only hitting one side or the other of the garden. Not sure if...
