yes it is cornflower aka batchelors button :D Thank you all soooo much for the kind help!!! Doing a google search also gave insight to why it is grown in "grandmas" flower bed :) The cornflower is of great importance in germany from where my guys great grandma/grandpa and grandma and grandpa...

My flowers have slender green leaves growing on straight steam each steam produces one flower . there is a little pod (part that reminds me of a pinapple) on the top has liltte purple flowers in a corcle with the coloring fadeing towards the center tp almost pink
