Poor little bugger flew into an immovable object. It's on the mend though! Isn't he sweet!? With a beak like that i'm assuming he's into grubs and the like?

Spring (summer) is finally, possibly happening. This is a shot of my orangery with the beds I made and a load of veg etc. hanging about and generally still having a good time of it.
Yes I did have a sweep! Fingers crossed :)
I have a surplus of radish going on and have been eating them roasted recently, mostly as snacks.
These were roasted for 10-15 mins in black pepper, salt, fresh thyme and olive oil. Spread on brown toast splashed with a tad more oil. A nice taster in the day.

I was wondering what you lovely people may be trying for the first time this year? For me it's the Cucamelon (Melothria Scabra) or the Mexican Sour Gherkin. They're so cute!
