    I want to add that someone on backyardherds suggested adding willow trees which might work well for my clay soil. Goats can eat willow, which is great, but I also found out many of the shrubs and trees on my property can actually be eaten by goats, such as honeysuckle.

    From my understanding as long you give them a variety they will eat what they need. The seed mix i want to plant has other grasses and clover including alfalfa. I would also give them hay to eat.
