Anyone Have WI Fi Thermostat ?

I would like to be able to turn air or heat on at country house couple of hours before getting there. Looking at thermostats is more greek for me. Anyone have one Pros and cons https://www.homedepot.com/p/Nest-Sm...PIPHorizontal3_rr-_-206587686-_-300146471-_-N

question what type of hvac do you have at the house.
heat pump
gas pack
digital thermostat

if your is old you might need to run new wire from the thermostat to the hvac unit..
older units have 5 wires the newer units require 6+ wires.

the thermostat your looking at requires 24vdc, some older units are 12vdc


set your multimeter to dc
red probe to red wire
black probe to yellow or white wire
this will tell you what d/c voltage the transformer is putting out.. either 12vdc or 24vdc...

My AC and Furance replaced about 4 maybe 5 years ago. Themostat digital House heats up fast but takes hours to cool down

We don’t have WiFi at our pad. We do have a Fujitsu unit with programmable thermostat.

We had one installed in our cabin last fall. We LOVE it! It wasn't that expensive and totally worth it. We turn it on early in the morning before we leave and it's nice and warm when we get there. Only regret is that I wish we had done it 20 years ago but I guess technology wasn't there yet.
