And, avocados ... I have felt a little guilty when eating an alligator pear. High calorie ... but then there's something about warding off "metabolic syndrome." (LINK)

And, here's what we can do with avocado oil (LINK) ... and without it, for healthful eating, according to Time. Made me wonder ... DW isn't very interested in peanut oil, which is a little disappointing. She likes avocados. I'm trying to imagine an oil that tastes like avocados.

I use avocado oil, it doesn't have an avocado taste. It's very bland and mild, and it has a high smoke point.

I buy mayonnaise made with avocado oil. It doesn't taste like Miracle Whip, but it's better than nothing.

One of my favorite sandwiches from cafe is turkey, avocado, cucumber and mayo on a roll.
