As the weather is still rather terrible I thought I might entertain you with articles & photos etc of beautiful British gardens. For such a small country we have many thousands of them........so here goes with the first offering:

I hope you will enjoy it & it will bring the joys of Spring a little nearer! :happy_flower

Personally I am going crazy as my garden (usually pretty free-draining) is one giant mudslide.....!!...... & we have weather alerts for torrential rain with very strong winds for today & tonight...........!!!! :hit

Lovely, Hattie. Really takes some weight off my heart to see all that beauty! I love the idea of not taking yourself or your garden "too seriously". I really enjoy having a small idea- and then letting nature have at it! Glad you are feeling better - and that we are a day closer to spring!

Here is one of my favorite gardens, especially as at this time of the year it is about to open to the public for the summer season. Snowshill Manor is in the nearby Cotswolds & is well known for it's spring displays of masses of Snakeshead Fritilleries, one of my pet bulbs -- I have them growing over the grave of my favourite Andalusian Cockerel "Velasquez". Here are some photos of the garden "rooms" & some information on the house & it's collections; it is run by The National Trust.

Browse through all these photos:

This is *perfect* Nadine!

I wish I had photos of my nans garden before she moved, she had a relatively small garden but it was gorgeous. She had a gate put in to the park behind it because she wouldn't allow us kids to mess up the yard.
