Black Grapes?

My grapes are about the size of a large pea and they are turning black? Is there something that they need and arent getting? They are finally starting to produce and I hate to lose them all.

Umm... what kind of grape are they?! What color are they supposed to be? Any bumps or bugs or mold?

Do they dry out and become hard too? I'm trying to remember the name of it... Happens when they don't get enough sunlight and air circulation. Some type of mosaic virus, if I remember right.

I have white (niagra) and purple (cabernet) grapes. It is happening on both types of them. They are drying out and turning hard, but they are at the back of the yard next to the pasture so air flow shouldnt be a problem. No shade there at all so it cant be a sunlight issue.

I'd call my extension office--I'm sure yours is not an isolated incident. Keep us posted.
