Tonight I made my new seaweed salad recipe, except this time I used bull kelp instead of sea lettuce. I really liked it!

Was it good? Ive never tried a seaweed recipe like that! So many interesting things to try!
Haha That was a snide comment. We are too far from kelp to have it served anywhere except by the occasional chef. I have never had the dish to my knowledge though I have had items steamed or cooked wrapped in some forms of seaweed.

There's a company up in Alaska called Barnacle Foods that pickles bull kelp and makes it into hot sauces. I've had the pickles and texture wise they were decent (it was just that I found them too sweet, and the sugar free version went out of production before I could get my hands on a jar.)
