Ok so this in an old plant, older than me. It was my grandmothers abd her mothers before that. My grandmother died last summer and I've been dealing with all of her stuff.

She has this ivy plant in a small non draining pot. I noticed my cat attempting to urinate in it. I moved it to a sunny location in my room which I keep the cats out of.

The plant has been puny lately, and i noticed the soil was soaked. It didnt smell like urine but i thought maybe I'd over watered it and i discovered it had no drainage area

I uprooted it, replaced all the soil with and trimmed all the dead leaves from it.

I'm so scared it will die, my mother will never forgive me. It still has a few good leaves and vines it seems but do you think it will come back after replanting and keeping from the cats?
