People here know I have a hard time passing up clearance plants. 2 seasons ago I picked up shrub on clearance for $3. The label said Flowering Almond. Last year the shrub did nothing, today all the branches are covered in deep red flower buds. I can't wait for it to fully flower !!!!

i took a walk around this morning to see how some of my fruit trees were doing & i noticed my peach trees were starting to open their leaves & noticed a few flower buds starting to swell. the 2 Contender peaches are further along than the ones i've had in the yard but their buds i would expect to break open this week if the weather will stay warm enough.

pears have a lot of flower buds forming too! i just finished grafting the rest of the apple trees so in a few more years those should be blooming & producing fruit too!
