I finished my first two concrete leaf castings. Here they are painted.

This one is a cactus pad,

This one is a Swiss Chard leaf.

WOW! Those came out really nice. How crafty of you. I am going to attempt to make a mosaic out of all the broken colored glass that we unearthed during out excavation project. Ever do one of those? I am trying to figure out what I would do with it when I am done, unless I make a stepping stone out of it.
Congratulations, those leaves get huge don't they?

Those are absolutely amazing!

Now why can't I come up with things like that.

simple life you've given me an idea of what to do with the 2 55 gallon drums of glass we took out from our yard when we cleaned up.

It was not my "invention" I got it out of a magazine, called.....Garden Gate.. in fact the instructions for making these bird baths is on line. There is even a "how to" video.

Those are beautiful! What nice work you did!

Thanks for sharing those; I'd like to try it myself! :)

Simple Life, I've been collecting glass bits, and pieces of beautiful old pottery for years. I know you'll find the perfect use for yours. I've seen countertops made from them, even, and they look very cool! :)

Tutter,
I know , don't you feel bad when you find broken pieces of someone's yesterday and just can't bring yourself to throw them away. My house was built in 1768 so when I find broken pieces of dishes, pottery and glassware I feel like if I throw them away something there is lost. I am going to start working on my mosaic this weekend. A counte top sounds pretty cool doesn't it.
I am even considering a little bench maybe.
