Last year we had a cottonwood tree leaning over the chicken coop after a high wind . It needed to be taken down so we cut it down and sawed it up, except 8' of the butt end. Today I drug it up out of the creek bottom and cut it into a planter for DW succulent garden. She totally loves it and it looks great in the new landscaping.

She also utilized and old iron wheel that we had laying around. I think the succulent garden is turning out pretty nice.

It looks great! How about you making her such a nice planter. :clap:thumbsup

I love succulents. They have such interesting shapes and textures. I've seen some pretty good deals on variety packs of them on eBay. I will have to give it a try someday to buy some.
