looking for a plant that flowers all summer, can take full sun and drought. Closest I found are geraniums any other flower can survive under these conditions? I love the look of my window boxes at country house, problem is the eaves of roof stop any rain from reaching them. I have to water them, If I miss coming up a weekend they are toast. I do mix in water polymer beads

catjac1975, that was my first thought. Then I remembered Nyboy has been in a drought this year. I'm not sure even an eave trough watering system would suffice this year. Drip irrigation with tiny hidden hoses from the outside faucets or something that will survive without water.

Thistlebloom's succulents is good. Some artificial geraniums look real and will last the summer in fine form. Silk hanging vines do just as well. Move them about from time to time and folks will think they're real, too.
