European Bush Morning Glory (PIX)

I was thinking you guys might like to see my Bush Morning Glories. We were having a discussion of Morning Glories and the fact that some types are illegal here in AZ.

This is one type that is allowed to be grown here.

this is pretty much the correct color, the other photos are making them look more lavendar than they are in person.

This give you the approx size of the flowers, they are sometimes bigger than this one.

It was about 5 feet tall at that point. I transplanted it, and it never did like the new spot too much. I have planted a bunch of seeds this year. They have yet to come up. The seeds are really weird, they are a big pod, with three to four HAIRY seeds in the pod. They remind me of Pussy Willows. I do hope the seeds I planted will come up. The old plant is starting to leaf out again, and has some buds on the top, the plant is now 4 years old. Those photos are from Spring of 2006.

Isn't that interesting- I had no idea there was a type of morning glory that didn't vine.... The flowers are quite lovely. I hope your seeds come up!
