firefighters

We have fire fighters out here and we thank them all the time for their duties. Its hard on them especially when temps are really hot. As of today two more lightning just hit our mountian, Mt. Graham. Hope it doesnt get worse. :fl:bow

The community outpouring for the evacauees and the firefighters has be phenomenal. I am so very proud to be part of Colorado Springs. Some evacuees were able to return home. Thousands are still displaced. Those who lost their homes found out last night and it has been announced that person is confirmed dead and another missing. No firefighters have been injured. Estimated 346 homes lost. Thank you firepeople for all your valient efforts. Without you, it would have been much worse.

I have been so worried about those of you near the Colorado fires. You, a cousin and several friends. Plenty of prayers said. Asking for the winds to lay down and a rain without lightening. Hope you remain safe. Thanks for keeping us posted. hugs....

Things seem to be returning to "normal". Most of the residents that were evacuated have returned home and the fire is 70% contained. I just heard that they are hoping for full containment this weekend. It has been and continues to be a very active fire season in the west and now the people in the east are having their own share of problems. My thoughts are with them as well.

I was told to shine our flashlights in the sky tonight (9:30) on 4th of july , a tribute to the firefighters fighting wildfires..
