Flowers & Roses: The Heart of Every Garden

Flowers have a way of stealing the show in any garden. They’re not just pretty faces - they attract pollinators, add fragrance, and bring a burst of joy every time you step outside. And then there are roses, the divas of the flower world. Some gardeners swear by them, others swear at them (all those thorns!), but no one can deny their timeless charm.

Whether you grow bold sunflowers that tower over the yard, cheerful marigolds that keep pests away, or delicate roses that make you stop and admire, flowers have a way of making a garden feel complete.

In Spring I luv the Rhododendron’s azaleas and peony’s.
In summer hydrangeas and lilly’s, dahlia’s.
In fall the heaths, heathers , astilbes and ligularia’s.
In winter luv winterberry , winter Heather and Holly’s

I really like perennials bc they are NO CARE, like iris, tulips, daffodills, day lillies and roses.
The other ones I have become interested in are the wildflowers that I planted that keep coming back, drought or no drought, like larkspur, black eyes susans, echinacea and yarrow.

I love some that are usually treated as annuals but later on, some survive and adapt to the weather, such as snapdragons.

I did try to grow them from seeds twice, but their seeds are so tiny. It's an interesting experience to grow them from seed, but twice is basically enough (for me).

Some of the plants were left in the garden and a few of them successfully overwinter, even in pots. Some self-seeded ones blossom in random corners, and the process keeps going. Then, I can treat them like wildflowers now and let them live freely in the garden.

Mums are also low-maintanance, robust (almost no pest, slugs/rodens don't like them, either), and always come back choices. The more I grow them, the more I feel that they are also true warriors.
