I love that field of yellow flowers!!! Blowing the fluffy seed puffs is a fun activity for a Mamaw and grand daughter to do! I love to gather the flowers to make dandelion tea (iced and hot) dandelion jelly and dandelion wine. The greens are best gathered in the early spring before they get too bitter. I have some dried dandelion roots (stored in a jar) that I plan on roasting and making a tea from them. I gathered a quart zip loc bag of seed and scattered them on our new property. Just in case, I dug a few plants and moved them too.

A few came up in the garden several years ago and remembering how, as a child, I loved to blow the seed puffs, I let them grow. My husband fussed about them, but as usual, I didn't listen. :) I got to researching dandelions and now I wouldn't be without them!

Great video Nyboy!

I have eaten the leaves ..

. made a coffee substitute form the roots.

Any dangers to those, @Mrs. Thankful ? Body butter? That sounds pleasant.
