Freezing Figs?

Hey everyone- just a quick question here. We have a lot of ripe figs now, but I don't have the free jars to make preserves yet. How can I go about freezing them to make preserves? Do I need to blanch? I have never made anything with figs so I am a bit off on what to do- but I've had so many requests for fig preserves and want to make some later on. Thanks everyone! No, don't blanch them. Stem and wash them, pat dry and put in zip lock bags, then freeze.
