#1 : Do not go on vacation or have surgery (or better yet both!) during pea and green bean season. The peas will get over ripe and vines will die. (We got about 2 meals off 3- 20ft rows.) The weeds will overcome the green bean starts and the bugs and bunnies will devour them in seclusion! Once we weeded them we have about 6 green bean vines that look like they will produce anything in 4- 20ft rows!

#2 : Do Not let DH get excited and plant tomatoes BEFORE last frost date, because sure enough it WILL frost again.

#3 : Do Not shop for ONE apple tree on clearance because you WILL bring home more threes than you know where to plant! (5 are still in pots)

#4 : Do Not forget to check Zucchini for 10 days! They really grow fast, faster when it rains! Anyone NEED zucchini?

well, #3 & #4 are accurate for me! but i can add to that something else. forget to weed the corn rows early in the season and you have to figure out what is mostly grass from the young cornstalks.

Those are good Carol Dee! I can make a list most years. My problem is remembering them next year.
