I recently gave my English thyme plant which has been flowering the last week or two and is nearly 5 times the size it was when I planted it in late April a really short butch cut. I tied up the trimmed off stems into 5 big bunches and hung them upside down from an old shower caddy. I hung them up in front of an open and screened window in the laundry room (east facing) to dry. I also did pretty much the same with my sage plant. This is the first time I've dried sage and I plan on whizzing it up when its dry. Anybody know how long it should take to completely dry the sage? I don't want to interrupt its process too soon.

I cut my thyme back every year. I get away with 60% off with no problems.

I planted thyme seeds three years ago, and they were as origen from the middleeast, but they were only for one season.
my sage plants still living with all the cold weather we had lately, they are about 3 years old now.
