At Costco this week I got some plastic boxes that worked perfect for organizing photos. I had many photos in shoe boxes, and every time I wanted to make a card, or post a photo, I had to search though 100s of photos to find the one I was looking for.
Now, I will at least have an easier time of it!

Here they are all labeled.

Nicely done! I keep thinking about this digital age... I have wonderful pics of my grandparents and great, great grandparents.. I am guessing future generations will not have these treasures. Seems so easy to toss a disk, or lose everything on a computer.

The old B/W photos seem to hold up the best. The information on the CDs will breakdown sooner than those old photographs. I have old B/W photos going back to the early 1900's of family members. Even some B/W from the 1950's and '60s. They seem to hold up better than the color film. I have slides of my kids (1970's) that were recently digitized because they were fading. The really old slides that my grand father took are so faded out. I don't know if they can be restored.
