Hopefully you get as much or more than last time. Is it hard to grow in our climate?

From what I read ..

. production amounts to very little without a growing season of about 8 months, @Collector .

That 2016 picture was from the better of 2 plants. They went in the pots earlier this year and are taller.

One plant:


This plant did much better than those in 2016. However, the original root didn't look so great so it isn't coming in to the kitchen.

Saying that the original is useful doesn't mean that it is wonderful. I mean, don't these look super useful?!

Harvested in August, which partly explains the small size. The original root is the dark one and very usable. Easily grown from store bought, every year .

I didn't know you could grow ginger at home

Harvest from 1 plant this year, spent mostly sitting right outside the greenhouse but with quite a bit of time, inside.
