It's been 5 1/2 days since her last post. I've emailed her and have recieved no reply. This is, all, HIGHLY unusual. Hope that she is, just, on holiday.

Hi boggy b,

I am still alive & kicking but I have been kind of busy.....I had two broody hens sharing a huge clutch of eggs & last week they hatched 19 chicks.......I am so besotted by the sight of these two hens & their offspring who are running from one mother to the other that I can't bring myself to leave them for long. This is my 3rd hatch this year (28 chicks altogether) so you can see I have my hands full.
I have stacks of tomatoes & peppers, ripe & ripening, peas, beans etc so I am having a great time. But it is still so desperately dry here that I have to water all the time, esp. the stuff in pots.

I promise to keep in touch! :plbb :celebrate

:hide Hattie :hide

Whew.......You have no idea how much better I feel. Can't help but smile at the mental picture of your chicken escapades. I'd be spending a lot of time with them, too....if it was me.

I was going to say, its that time of year the garden is producing so heavily we're all slammed busy! I know I am. ;) And Hattie, I don't blame you one bit. We just hatched some ducks, sadly we lost 2 of the 3... so I can't being myself to be away from the lone duckling long. (We named her Naner Pudding! LOL)
