Here's the list of reasons why I hate the incubator ...
... When it comes to having hatchlings, I'm worse than an 8-yr. old waiting for Christmas eve to end. And the incubator just sits there. Taunting me. 'I have your baby chicks in me and I won't let you have them for another 12 day!'. With a mama hen, I go in and give her water. I don't see any eggs, nor do I have to candle them, nor do I have to fiddle around with the humidex, whatever the heck that is, and I know the babies will be brought up in a truly good environ. And don't get me starting about the power company! At least Miss Nelly doesn't need hydroelectricty! And when the chicks finaly pipe, they chirp so much that I can't hear anything else but chirping for the next 2 months! And don't get me started about the lock down!
And it takes so long! I want Little Hyram to hatch NOW!
