Very nice kitchen I also like the open cupboards, but I am not neat enough. Good chance when you open a door in my kitchen things come tumbling out!! Sun I was visiting a friend they had a tin backsplash. They bought cheap tin, cut it to size and glued it up,looked great with the stainless steel appilances.

Nice job. I am currently painting blue too, the walls in the main living areas of the house. Blue hasn't been one of my favorite colors, but really like how it is turning out in my house, and it looks good the way you did it too.

it looks so good. I really like the shade of blue. I too am working w/blues right now. so many shades. I like the open cupboard & am thinking about it on one cabinet. I don't like the dust though. I may cut the inside part of the door out & replace w/glass as a compromise. I have an open shelf below my cooktop where all my big pans live.

I also like how you've got your spices up on the wall.
