Local Grown

One of my favorite food marts was always locally grown. last night I noticed they now label the name of the farm the produce came from. What a great idea.

That is a fantastic idea! I wish the locally grow stores were closer. Our big grocery carries a few farm labeled products, like apples, corn and some organic produce. We have a lot of great farmers markets in the area and I really miss them when they close for the season.

I really liked it, not that I know any of the local farmers. felt like I was supporting small farms not big business.

one of our stores does that too. but they don't carry a huge selection of stuff till the fall. mostly in the fall they carry apples and occasionally pears.
