My Heavenly Blue Morning Glories were again a disappointment this year. Although I bought 2 plants early in June and they briefly bloomed (maybe 8 blossoms total), after that short burst of flowers, the vines grew and grew, but there were no more blossoms at all. The ones I planted by the hen house didn't start blooming until mid-September, and they had maybe 50 blooms total, but all the blooms were way at the top of the vines, maybe 1-6 a day. Why would some morning glories bloom only at the very bottom, and others only at the very top? The third batch, from a different set of seeds, once again vined all summer but bloomed only at the very bottom. They didn't start blooming until mid-September, although they were planted in May? All these plants were in different soil, but they received the same watering, for the most part. The henhouse morning glories always seem to bloom only at the very top of the vines (atop the henhouse), at least for the last few years. Why would this be?
