I have some exactly like that and they are my favorite ones :)

they have never mutated into other colors and always remained true

aren't they just beautiful? there is something about a black flower ..I have some black roses my son gave me that I think are the most beautiful roses I have ever seen

wifezilla yep I think so and if not I still have some I think...

HIDelight, I am just getting these back after 3 years. After growing them and them always staying true for 4years DH thought it would be a good thing for the chickens to be in the garden area all winter one year, the following spring I had NO hollyhocks :ep ..... Needless to say DH doesn't make many gardening suggestions anymore :rolleyes: Finally this year they are back :weee NO chickens will be allowed in the flower beds :rainbow-sun

Wow those are beautiful, there are only a few flowers out there that have that blackish coloration but they stand out great in the garden.
