Hi all.
I am a new member living here in Ireland.
I have a 20 foot long and 15 foot wide polytunnel.
I grow everything in here because it's much easier to grow,
Stuff in there and I can grow stuff in there that I can't grow outside.
This year I will be growing
Cabbage, lettuce, cauliflower, beetroot, carrots, parsnips, swede, French beans, broad beans, peas, broccoli, Mellon, tomatoes, peppers, sweetcorn and spinach.
I will also pot up some flowers etc.
Fionn.

Hi ChickenGrass/ Fionn! :frow Welcome to TEG from north Idaho!
Looking forward to hearing about how you garden in your climate.
It looks like you are growing a nice variety of vegetables.
Does your polytunnel allow you to grow year round?

Hi there.
Thank you all for your warm welcomes.
At the moment I am cleaning out the polytunnel for a new growing season.
With the pollytunnel I can usually grow stuff most of the year.
But I can't grow realy exotic things during winter like tomatoes and peppers.
I will try upload some pictures of the polytunnel from last year and then hopefully this weekend I will post some new ones.
It's not anything fancy, it's just a polytunnel so I can grow my own.
Right now it's 12 degrees celcius (53 F)
So in the polytunnel it's about 14-15 degrees celcius ( 57-59F)
There is no sun today but if there was it would be much warmer in the polytunnel.
The average summer temperature here is around 16 degrees ( 60F)
And on a sunny day in the tunnel it could be around 30 degrees (86F)
My soil in the polytunnel is quite sandy but my carrots still fork :D
I think it's because the small pebbles in the soil.
Thank you,
Fionn.
