Hello everyone. I am new to the group and to gardening. I live in MI where there is still snow on the ground. I am an old lady that lives in the country on 8 acres but has never had a garden. So why now? Because I have chickens and they want fresh veggies and greens. I am going to need a lot of help. Just hope this old body can do the work. So, where do I begin?
Oh, I love fresh picked sweetcorn. So do my chickens. :love

Welcome Sweetcorn! I saw your name as a new member and thought that was the cutest name!

Yeah. I know all about that whole feeding the chickens better than we feed ourselves (hangs head in shame. )

Even though you still have snow, there are lots of things you can do for now. Start by looking at the gardening catalogues and figure out what you want to grow and what requirements they have for your area. Figure out what area needs to be cleared and make a plan for doing it/having it done. And, if you have any questions, holler. There are lots of folks who'll be glad to help!
