DW was dazzled by the displays.

I used to "deal" with an orchid grower. He had a greenhouse with about as many square feet as his home. In fact, you could walk from his dining room, into his greenhouse.

Well, he could. In my job I'd be sent to his home with a list of what was required for an order for some flower shop or other. He would disappeared into the foliage leaving me sitting in a comfortable chair looking longingly into his greenhouse.

I suppose that growing so many of them in hanging pots made the environment especially exotic .

I have bought some pricey orchids at a flower shoe. I have a greenhouse but the most showy orchids require more care than my greenhouse can provide so do not live very long. I still to the ones that you can buy anywhere as they are easy to care for. But they are very enticing.
