omg out of this world......

started the smoker at 5 am got up to temp 225* placed the boston butt in and a couple handfuls of apple chips in the fire box..

should have started it around 3 am since it's going to take 6-8 hours to smoke. the guest of honor has been brining now for 24hrs...

off to the smoker....

middle.. turkey breast
right..... dah

breast will be coming off in about an hour-ish nibble time....

dw picked some white and golden beets for dinner..

well this is the whole family reaction for the butt....... omg best butt that has been ever smoked.
omg what a bark on the butt....

the bird reached it's temp... going to sit for 30 mins no finger licking photo needed, you have the jest...

reservations being taking for next year........martha has nothing on this.....

it's a recipe from "southern at heart"
added 1/4 c low sodium soy sauce and marinated for 24 hours....

can be done on a gas grill as long as you do indirect heat and rap chips in foil over a burner...
