There is a ad on CL for organic lilacs and dogwood. If something is not for food use, why would organic matter? Am I missing something?
One of our neighbors went to a popular small lake with a nice beech (10 +/- miles from here) 2 weeks ago. There was a family group of hippy types there two days before. Their toddler with cloth diapers on added a load into the cloth diaper. The mother takes said diaper off and washes it out in the lake. A few days later a couple dozen swimmers ( including their 2 boys ages 7 and 4 ) come down with vomiting and diarrhea. Now , I don't know if the load was of organic origin or not, but in this case, I don't believe that it was healthy for the environment ! Last year in the spring, an organic dairy farmer in the area, spread cow manure onto his pasture. A heavy rain came and the rain water drained onto a small creek that fed into that lake. Within a couple days there was an algie bloom and the lake was closed to one and all. Hmmm !Thanks organic= healthy environment Got it.
