They'll use the chute for milking also. The building that will stand over the chute will have lights and water.
We're getting a Babson belly milker ready, the vacuum pump is from the Emergency Room, seem to operate the pultz well. The Babson is an old style milker, it will be used remote not hung over the cow as used in the past.

That is a neat set up your girls came up with. I can understand why a vet might want you to have something like that, but you will find it useful as well.
We had a chute. The bull was breaking down the fences to visit neighbor's herd so Dad wanted to put a ring in his nose. His head was too big to fit but Dad managed to get the ring in.
The chute was very substantial. The bull made kindling out of it.
