I have been ripping this up for years now.
Today I thought I would search to see what I am always pulling up.

Well I found out it is a wild Passiflora Subpeltata.
Some got a way from me and grew up my back fence.

Now that I know what it is I will let it have the fence so to speak.
I was also able to get a cutting of a Passion vine the other day. That cutting got me looking at the wild one as maybe not a weed but a nice vine!

Mine is not flowering or I would take a picture of it. I guess I have never let one mature enough to set bloom.
I am hoping this one that got big will flower soon.

It should flower for you soon where your in Fla.
Here in Zone 5 we have to bring them in and over winter inside. it gets very cold here.

left to blossom and set fruit it is a stunning vine.
fruit is edible I believe.

I am about 40 miles North of Tampa.

Some varieties are and some are not edible.
